Description
Give students three very different missions—and meaningful practice across the fifth-grade decimal standards. This digital escape room bundle combines place value and rounding, adding and subtracting decimals, and multiplying and dividing decimals in story-driven challenges filled with puzzles, clues, codes, and ciphers.
These are real escape-room activities built around connected missions, not ordinary decimal worksheets with a game label. Students must calculate carefully, interpret clues, and keep trying when an answer does not unlock the next part of the story.
Three Decimal Escape Room Missions
Capture the Decimal Deceiver
A mathematical criminal is on the loose, and students must use decimal place value, rounding, and operations to help the Mathematical Security Agency capture him.
Students will:
- Recognize that a digit represents ten times the value of the place to its right and one-tenth the value of the place to its left
- Write decimals in standard and expanded form
- Compare decimals using <, >, and =
- Round decimals through the thousandths place
- Multiply decimals by powers of ten
- Multiply a decimal through the hundredths by a one-digit whole number
- Calculate change by subtracting decimals
Escape the Library
Students solve puzzles and ciphers while adding and subtracting multi-digit decimals to escape from the library.
Students will:

A priceless painting has disappeared. Students work through a sequence of multiplication and division challenges to recover it.
Students will:
- Multiply decimals through the hundredths by whole numbers and other decimals
- Complete multi-digit decimal multiplication
- Divide decimals by whole numbers and decimal divisors
- Complete long division with two-digit decimal divisors
Please preview the multiplication and division examples before purchasing. This mission includes challenging problems such as 37.5 × 85.6 and 64.32 ÷ 1.2, so it may also be useful for sixth-grade review or enrichment.
Easy Digital Setup
All three missions run through Google Forms™ and are self-checking. Students enter answers directly into the activity and must solve each challenge correctly before progressing. There are no physical locks to prepare and no clues to hide.
Students do not need Gmail™ or Google™ accounts. They only need an internet-connected computer, tablet, or phone with access to Google Forms™. An optional copy link is included for schools that require forms to originate inside their own Google Drive™ system.
