Description
This 5th grade powers of 10 escape room gives students focused practice multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals by powers of 10. Students use place-value patterns, exponents, coded clues, and short puzzles to escape a haunted house.
Choose the format that fits your class: a black-and-white printable escape room, a self-checking digital Google Forms version, or a mix of both. The spooky setting works especially well as a Halloween math activity, but the activity does not specifically mention the holiday and can be used any time of year.
