Description
The Tricky Turkeys have locked your students in the barn! To escape, your 2nd graders must add two-digit numbers with regrouping, decode secret messages, find a key, and open a series of locks.
This Thanksgiving or fall math escape room is delivered through Google Forms, so it is easy to implement and self-checking. There are no clues to hide, and students do not need Google accounts. Optional printable puzzle pages and a cipher disk let students show their work and make the digital challenge feel even more hands-on.

Students can work independently, in small groups, at a math center, or as a whole class. Because reading and puzzle-solving needs vary, previewing the activity first can help you choose the best grouping. Many students finish in 35–45 minutes; some finish in about 20 minutes, while others benefit from additional time.
All information needed to solve the puzzles is provided in the activity, so students do not need to search the web. Please confirm that your school or district allows access to Google Forms.
