Description
Finish the year with two different 4th grade math experiences in one bundle: a month of short spiral-review challenges and a full digital escape room for an end-of-year celebration. Students practice important grade-level skills while following storylines, decoding clues, and solving puzzles that feel very different from an ordinary review worksheet.
May End-of-Year Spiral Review Escape Room Tasks
Students complete one escape-room-style math challenge at a time as they work through an end-of-year storyline. The set includes 20 regular tasks—enough for one challenge each school day during a typical month—plus four bonus challenges for enrichment, early finishers, or extra review.
Most challenges take approximately 5–15 minutes. Use them for morning work, math centers, bell ringers, test-prep warmups, partner work, small groups, homework, or combine them into a review packet. Because the set reviews skills from across 4th grade, you may skip a topic your class has not covered or solve it together as a learning opportunity.
Skills and practice
The May challenges provide broad spiral review across nearly all major 4th grade math domains, including place value, multi-digit computation, multiplication and division, fractions, measurement, geometry, patterns, and multi-step problem solving. Students also use logic, codes, visual clues, and ciphers as they apply the math.
May review includes
- 20 regular escape-room-style math tasks
- 4 bonus challenges for enrichment
- Printable color and black-and-white versions
- Digital Google Slides version
- Backstory and success page
- Cipher tools and optional visual models
- Optional student tracking or recording page
- Detailed answer key with solutions
