Description
The Gingerbread Man has locked the bakery doors, and your students will need a range of third grade math skills to escape. This 3rd grade winter math escape room includes both a self-checking digital game and a black-and-white printable version, so you can choose the format that fits your classroom.

- Digital escape room: Students work through a self-checking Google Form™ on a computer, tablet, or phone. No Google accounts or email addresses are required.
- Printable escape room: Students solve the story and puzzles on paper with no devices or internet. Hand out the full packet or release one clue at a time.
The gingerbread theme works well before winter break, at a classroom holiday party, or in a seasonal math center. The activity itself does not mention Christmas or another specific holiday.

This is a challenging, full-length escape room. Partners or small groups are encouraged, and most classes should plan for about 45–60 minutes. All information needed to solve the puzzles is provided; students do not need to search the web.

Do students need Google accounts?
No. The digital version can be completed without signing in, and the printable version requires no device or internet.
Do I have to hide clues?
No. The Google Form™ guides students automatically. For the printable game, give students the full packet or check each answer before handing out the next clue.
Can I use this if Google Forms™ is blocked?
Yes. Use the black-and-white printable version instead. A teacher-copy option is also included for schools that require Forms to originate within their own system.
