Can your students catch the Candy Corn Man before he escapes the factory? In this engaging 4th grade math adventure, students solve five interconnected multiplicative comparison puzzles while following his trail.
The candy corn theme makes this a fun choice for Halloween math or fall review, but Halloween is not mentioned anywhere in the activity. You can use it throughout the fall or any time students need meaningful multiplicative comparison practice.
Choose the format that works best for your classroom. The digital version is a no-prep, self-checking Google Forms™ activity with no clues to hide or answers to check. Students do not need email addresses or Google accounts. The printable version includes black-and-white, printer-friendly escape room clues. Students solve each clue, show the teacher their answer, and receive the next clue. You may also combine the print and digital versions.

This activity works well for Halloween math, fall review, math centers, enrichment, test preparation, independent work, or collaborative problem solving. Most students finish in 35–45 minutes, although students with a firm grasp of the concepts may finish in about 20 minutes. Requiring the recording page may increase completion time.
