February can feel long, so daily review needs to be manageable. This 4th grade February math review gives students one candy-factory challenge for each school day.
Across the month, students complete 24 escape-room-style puzzles while training at Copper Kettle Candy Works. Both printable and digital Google Slides™ versions are included. Since each challenge stands alone, you can follow the calendar or choose the skills that match your lessons.
Short Challenges for Busy School Days
The resource includes 20 half-page math challenges and four full-page bonus challenges. Most tasks take approximately 5–15 minutes. As a result, they fit easily into morning work, centers, bell ringers, exit tickets, early-finisher time, partner work, small groups, enrichment, or test preparation.
Students solve number puzzles, follow mathematical clues, decode messages, use ciphers, complete logic challenges, and find passwords throughout the candy factory.

- Multi-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Division with remainders and interpreting remainders
- Factors, multiples, and prime and composite numbers
- Place value, number forms, comparison, and rounding
- Equivalent fractions and comparing fractions
- Mixed numbers, improper fractions, and fraction decomposition
- Adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators
- Fractional line plots and measurement conversions
- Area and perimeter, including unknown dimensions
- Numerical and shape patterns
The sequence reflects fourth-grade standards typically taught through February. However, you can save any not-yet-taught skill for later in the year.
