February Math Practice at Copper Kettle Candy Works
This 4th Grade February Math Spiral Review gives students a new candy-factory challenge for each school day. Students complete 24 escape-room-style puzzles while training to become certified confectioners at Copper Kettle Candy Works.
Both printable and digital Google Slides™ versions are included. Each challenge is a separate math puzzle, so you can use one each day or choose individual skills that match your current lessons.
Short Challenges That Fit Into the School Day
The resource includes 20 half-page math challenges and four full-page bonus challenges. Most tasks take approximately 5–15 minutes and work well for morning work, math centers, bell ringers, exit tickets, early finishers, partner work, small groups, enrichment, or test preparation.
Students solve number puzzles, follow mathematical clues, decode secret messages, use ciphers, complete logic challenges, and find passwords and combinations throughout the candy factory.

- Multi-step word problems and multiplicative comparison
- Multi-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Division with remainders and interpreting remainders
- Factors, multiples, and prime and composite numbers
- Place value, number forms, comparison, and rounding
- Equivalent fractions and comparing fractions
- Mixed numbers, improper fractions, and fraction decomposition
- Adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators
- Fractional line plots and measurement conversions
- Area and perimeter, including unknown dimensions
- Numerical and shape patterns
The skills reflect fourth-grade standards taught through February. If a skill has not been introduced yet, save that puzzle for later in the year.
