Your students are trapped in a haunted house, and their knowledge of rates and ratios is the key to escaping! This 6th grade math escape room combines a memorable storyline with five puzzle sets that require students to apply ratio reasoning—not simply complete a themed worksheet.
Choose the printable version for a hands-on team challenge or the digital Google Forms version for a low-prep, self-checking activity. The haunted-house theme makes it especially fun for Halloween, but the math content works well for review, enrichment, math centers, or test preparation at any time of year.

Choose print or digital
Printable escape room: Students begin with the backstory and work through five clues. After a team solves a puzzle, the teacher checks the answer and hands out the next clue. This format is a great choice when you want students collaborating face to face.
Digital escape room: Students work through the challenge in Google Forms. The digital version is designed to be low prep and does not require students to have Gmail accounts. Two printable pages accompany the digital activity, and an optional Google Slides backstory and coordinate-plane tool can support virtual, hybrid, or in-person learning. Your school or district must allow access to Google Forms.
