Description

This 3-digit addition and subtraction escape room gives 2nd and 3rd grade students meaningful practice within 1,000 through six connected library-themed clues. Students add, subtract, regroup across zeros, and solve word problems as they work to escape the library.

The activity aligns with Common Core Standards 3.NBT.A.2 and 2.NBT.B.7. It works especially well for 3rd grade review and for advanced 2nd grade students who are ready for addition and subtraction within 1,000.

Choose Print or Digital

The black-and-white printable version is low prep and printer friendly. It includes an introduction, six connected clues, a student recording page, and a success page. Students solve each clue, show their work, and continue through the library mission.
