Description
Can your seventh graders use their knowledge of ratios and proportions to stop the cruise ship in this engaging digital breakout? When hackers take over the ship’s navigation system, the captain recruits his passengers to find the emergency escape lever. Your students will follow a trail of clues by finding the constant of proportionality from graphs, tables and equations to locate a room number; unlock a briefcase by matching up equations with ratio tables, and much more. The best part is that there are no clues to hide! The entire escape room is automated by a Google Form™ (does not require Google Classroom™ or e-mail).
Breakout games are a great way to promote student engagement and collaboration. This activity is great for reviewing ratios & proportional relationship standards and can be done in small groups or individually.
This resource works well for in class learning, and is also easy to use for a virtual academy or distance learning setting. Distance learning instructions are included in the PDF. Tutors love using these breakouts to motivate their students, and homeschool parents use online escape rooms as worksheet alternatives.
