No. Anyone with the link and an internet-connected device can complete the escape room.
How long does it take?
Most students finish in 35–45 minutes. Students with a strong grasp of rational-number operations may finish in about 20 minutes, while others may need longer. If students cannot finish in one session, have them record their answers so they can quickly return to their stopping point.
Do students need to search the web?
No. Everything students need is contained in the escape room. The math is standards-based and the puzzles support the submarine story.
