Description
A saboteur has endangered the submarine, and your 7th graders must use rational-number skills to save it! Students follow the storyline while solving puzzles involving positive and negative integers, fractions, and decimals.
This digital escape room is automated and self-checking in Google Forms. There are no clues to hide, and students do not need Google accounts. Use it for practice, test review, enrichment, cooperative learning, or an engaging worksheet alternative aligned with 7.NS.A.1.
Rational-number skills students will practice
- Adding and subtracting positive and negative integers
- Adding and subtracting rational numbers, including simple fractions and decimals
- Using a number line to reason about sums and differences
- Determining the sign of a sum or difference
- Finding the distance between positive and negative numbers using absolute value
- Solving word problems involving positive and negative rational numbers
- Matching equivalent expressions and interpreting subtraction as adding the additive inverse
